How to Use This Family Guide
We tried to keep the most likely priorities of our students' families in mind when we organized this Family Guide. The earlier sections are about the transition to college and day-to-day life on the Truman campus. The later sections will help you stay aware of your student's welfare, progress, and available resources after your student has been at Truman for several weeks or months. The Family Guide is meant to focus on the most important questions you and your student will confront at each stage.
We hope that you will refer to this Family Guide often as your student settles in at Truman. To get started, you should read President Paino’s welcome and the first section, Your Family’s Transition to College. Then you can read the other sections as questions arise.
